ChamberMail FAQ

| Is ChamberMail the same as the Email Control Panel? |
Yes and No. When we refer to ChamberMail we are actually talking about the part of the Email Control
Panel that allows you to manage your actual email messages. The Email Control Panel encompasses
ChamberMail and the administrative functions for managing your mail domain.
| Can I access ChamberMail with SSL? |
Yes, the entire Email Control Panel can now be encrypted so that none of your data is ever compromised.
You can enter SSL mode in two ways: 1) By clicking on the SSL link in the bottom left corner, or 2)
going to https://mail.chambergates.com to login.

| How do I set the time zone in ChamberMail? |
As you may have noticed when you send your messages from the mail server the time most likely is not
close to your time. The reason for this is that our servers use
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
Unfortunately, the web messaging component does not support time zone adjustments at this time.
| Can I import addresses into my address book? |
Yes. Simply create a text file called "aliases.txt" and place one address per line. Then send the file
to support via email and tell us which user in Web Messaging you would like to use the list for.
| How do I setup an automatic signature? |
- Open the Email Control Panel and sign in using your account information
- In the list box at the top right select Change My Signature.
- Enter the signature that you would like to add to all of your outgoing messages.
- Click on the Save button.
| Does ChamberMail allow you to use other languages than American English? |
Yes. In fact we support over 11 different languages and we have two specialized dictionaries for
medical and legal (see the full list here). You can use
different dictionaries across your entire domain or with individual users. To have a dictionary
installed or removed from your mail domain or user, please contact our technical support group.

| How do I backup my ChamberMail files? |
There is no direct way for you to backup your emails other than using your email client to download
them and save them locally. The good news is that you do not have to worry about losing them on our
end. Your email is stored on a RAID 5 disk array so even if a disk should fail you are protected.
Secondly, we perform daily backups on this server, so if this information were inadvertently deleted
we could restore from tape within hours.
| Is there a way to recover the email I just deleted? |
We can recover lost mail through a tape restore but if the mail had arrived before the backup then we
will not be able to recover it. Backups occur around 2AM CST every day.
