Picture It Setup

1. Open Microsoft Picture It.
2. Select Open... from the File menu.

   

3. Highlight the project you want to publish and then click the Open button.

   

4. Choose the option Publish as a web page... from the sub-menu Save to the Web in the Save, send, or share menu.

   

5. Click on the Custom... button.

   

6. Click on the New... button.

   

7. In the Friendly name box, enter ChamberGates.
8. In the FTP upload address box, enter ftp.chambergates.com.
9. In the Web address box, enter http://www.domain_name, where is your domain name (i.e. chambergates.com or whitehouse.gov)..
10. Select default.htm in the Name of home page list.
11. Make sure that both check boxes are not checked.
12. Click on the Ok button.

    

13. Click on the Close button.

    

14. In the User/Login name box, enter your FTP user name found in your Welcome Letter.
15. In the Password box, enter your FTP password found in your Welcome Letter.
16. If you do not want to have type your password each time you want check your mail then check the Remember Password check box. Your password will remain on your computer but will not be stored on a server so this is a very safe option unless you allow other people to access your computer.
17. Make sure the option As my home page is selected.
18. Click on the Next > button.

    

19. The program should now go through a series of steps that will publish your web site and then show you the dialog box below.
